As of 15th I am no longer a member of merrist wood even though I have paid in full until next April. New owners want a pay and play facility only. Very disappointed. So now back on the look out for a club.

Not had that option as yet as membership is with Crown golf. They will try and coax people to other courses in the dwindling network before refunding I'm sure.

Where do you live?

There is no mention of anything on their Website (as usual). I wonder why any club would turn away "paying membership?" Merrist Wood is fine, but it's no Queenwood!

Theyve been busy selling off a lot of thier courses.
