Got back from reading festival yesterday, got a grand total of about 10 hours sleep in 4 days but I've slept for 18 of the last 24 haha, literally the best weekend of my life, music was superb and about 30 of us from my school camped together and had a mental time! anyone else go? :)

Wish I had, Foo Fighters are about the best live band out there at the moment but I went to Download for the full 5 days so could not cope with another festival at my age.

Foo fighters were superb, there set was 3 hours which was really long but it was definitely worth it, and 10000 other people were there so the atmosphere was unbelievable, Kasabian were also brilliant and there were a lot of bands there that I didn't know well but were really good, definitely gonna go again next year

Possibly on my list for nex year. Thinking between Download, Reading/Leeds or Isle of Wight for next year.

Sadly I fear my festival days are behind me. I prefer staying dry and less blown out sound nowadays. Getting old!

I've seen the Foo Fighters a few times - great band - but the first time was the best; Glasgow Barrowlands - must have been when they just had one album out.... mid nineties probably.

I'm gonna try and go to another festival next year as well as reading, gb72 what was download like? fairwaydodger oddly the weather was great, there was a little bit of rain in Saturday but nothing major and the other days were great, even got a tan on Sunday ;)

Never too old to go to a festival. I stopped going for years then started again to see AC/DC at Download 3 years ago. Followed that up with the Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes and then Download again this year. Just about to hit 40 but can hold my own with most of the kids there.

Download is great fun, really good crowd but it is predominantly a Metal festival so the music is not as varied. That said, the Prodigy headlining last year was one of the best performances that I have seen over the years.

For those of a certain age in the late '80s, Pop Will Eat Itself, Jesus Jones and The Wonderstuff are playing some gigs together around Xmas and I could be heading for one of them
