Can 12 year olds read an analogue clock face these days?Any idea of a good watch for a 12 yr old to wear at Skool.
Plus should it be normal or smart watch.

Some cannot! Can 12 year olds read an analogue clock face these days?
What's left after a normal or smart watch?
I've got a couple of Moonswatches (because I can't afford a proper Omega.) Have a look at those.
How did you manage that? I fancied one but they always seemed to go out of stock within seconds.
Got the Mrs the Mission to Venus last year at Geneva Airport, couldn’t find one over here. The Venus is perfect for a woman to wear.I got the Mars one from Swatch in Vegas and my wife got me Mercury from New York.
Never tried over here as we don't have a store close, I'm pretty sure stock levels are much better now though, worth another try.
ChatGPT joined the conversationI know it's been a while, but When it comes to men's wristwatches, it depends on your style and what you want from a watch. Some folks love the classic look of a friendly leather band, while others are all about sporty styles with a bit of flair.

Check with the school. Some might not permit smart watches. I invigilate GCSE's and smart watches (and in fact all watches) are prohibited in the exam room. Appreciate he is younger at 12, but worth checking school policy before outlaying. Can 12 year olds read an analogue clock face these days?
Indeed, smart devices are not allowed in official exam rooms, just like phones.Check with the school. Some might not permit smart watches. Good piece on the news this morning where a guys smart watch went mental re heart rate. Called ambulance, hospital told him he was having a heart attack. Dr reckons if he had not had the warning they would not be having the conversationIndeed, smart devices are not allowed in official exam rooms, just like phones.
Do you know the logic behind this? Why should a mechanical watch be not allowed?all watches) are prohibited in the exam room
Perhaps it is because invigilators don’t have time to check everyone’s watch whilst trying to get started on time.Do you know the logic behind this? Why should a mechanical watch be not allowed?
That’s like saying that instead they are checking that no one is wearing any watch. Neither is necessary.Perhaps it is because invigilators don’t have time to check everyone’s watch whilst trying to get started on time.

Oh my goodness. Would love a high end watch like an Omega, but that is ridiculous. My omega needs a service. £825 to be serviced by an approved outlet. I can’t justify that at the moment… any advice about alternative options?
Who says it needs a service? I have had several Rolex watches over the past 50 years and only had them serviced when they either stopped working or didn't keep good time.My omega needs a service. £825 to be serviced by an approved outlet.
