I had a Casio waveceptor for years. it just got old and the buttons wore out. Bought a new one. What a load of crap. A lot of the titanium had been replaced with plastic and that plastic just disintegrated. Small print in the warranty said that the case wasn't covered. Casio used to be good but I would never buy any of their products ever again.

Bought a Lourus from Argos. It keeps very good time which is the objective of a watch.

Looks similar to mine. I've been wearing it for about 15 years, including while playing golf all those years. No issuesIMG_3299.JPG

I picked this up last week. Spotted it on HotUKDeals for £69.99 and have been looking for a classic style watch. I do like a nice watch but don't want to spend lots of money on one. Citizen Eco Drive with blue face and brown leather strap. Can be worn anywhere. And the contrasting hands and face make it easier for me to read without my glasses. Mind you, I need a magnifying glass for the day/date.

Watches are my longest hobby, spanning around 30 years.

I swap and change constantly and none are precious to me. My collection is varied and not all 'top end' and I change watch every few days.

I don't do waiting lists, nor worry about theft - it is what it is.

I'm wearing this one today, which is probably my all time favourite...

I still wear a planet ocean with orange bezel every day and I got it 26/06/2007 from LHR mappin and Webb for the grand sum of £1595.74 ! ( still have box and receipt)
Loved this watch when I had it, change the strap for an Orange rubber strap in the summer and it looks A1 😀

My £12 [reduced from £36] watch that my wife bought me for my 70th birthday [6 years ago] is still going strong.
Never had to adjust the time or replace the battery.
Still looks smart and expensive, might have to change the strap for an upcoming wedding.

I was, but always end up with a ban for speaking my mind 🤣

Watch forums used to be about the hobby, stories etc, but when you've 'been there, done that', it's hard to retain an interest, so everything ends up off topic.

Good old Tz-Uk - been a member longer than here. :) Nowadays just dip in and out to see what’s new. E.g learnt recently that Bremont has a new CEO - looks like the end of the English watchmaking dream for them.

Google works better, as I don't have to deal with the idiots on there 🤣

I remember a trip to Stratford to buy my first Bremont MBII with orange barrel. Enjoyed it, but as many others, it didn't last.
