MD superstrong Driver

Right, bought a Mizuno mp001 driver with stiff shaft last year.

I hit it ok, but I don’t swing very fast sub 90mph with the driver apparently.

so thinking of trying a reg shaft, now I was told the proforce reg would be an ideal start point, but to get one in my current driver would cost me 50/60quid plus a regrip.

now I could buy a mint(like new) secondhand md superstrong which comes with the proforce reg shaft as standard for similar money.

should I buy the md (I like the fact they are local and have refused to stick their prices way up even though it’s the done thing in golf) and keep the mizuno as a comparison?

thoughts and offers of reg shafted drivers in NI please lol

Go for the MD, no contest.

From memory the MP001 has a 'small' head something like 400cc, whereas the MD is 460cc, so should be easier to hit.

Lot of MD love on this forum, and I am about to buy a Norman Drew wedge to see what the fuss is about

Golf warehouse are doing them for £75 brand new so £50 for nearly new sounds good to me.

If I hadn't already bought my Rapture i'd have had the MD driver. The hybrid and 3 wood that I have are top notch. I can't believe how they can be so cheap and yet feel (and function) so good.

Why not. Most of that cost fot reshafting the Mizzy would probably be buying the shaft.

Buy the MD, if you don't like it get the shaft pulled and put into the Mizzy, if they have the same hosel diameter that is.

ti460 superstrong reg flex proforce shaft 9.5degree.

lets hope i can get my technique sorted to make use of the club come spring time.

so decided today to complete the set with a superstrong 3 and 5wood. 15 and 18 degrees respectively. last years model £80 total

had a bash at them down the range and they went well considering.

pretty strong length wise, slightly further than my old big bertha 3 and 5woods, but that might be down to the loft i just dont know.

but ill get some better feedback once i have a few rounds with them.
