Going back to the tee is an option, but is going forward to the tee an option?
As I said regards match play once you stop celebrating your hole in one and you opponent says sorry you played out of turn play it again Sam! I understand technically you've not holed out. That is me trying to keep occupied.
Generally in golf your not allowed relief that takes you nearer the hole, that is the point I'm making.
As for Kevin Na you take relief where you played you last shot last being the operative word.
It might well be in certain situations you are allowed relief nearer the hole?
Myself I find taking the correct relief is one of the biggest broken rules in amateur golf.
