the pros make a living out of it so every single shot can cost thousands of pounds, i think i'd take my time then.
but from what i've seen its always the high handicap player holding the groups up. they should start a rule at clubs that if you cant play to a handicap of 18 and no more then you cant join. simples
so how do you go about getting a handicap if your not allowed on the course because you cannot prove you can play to 18?
and because you play off 6 or what ever it is, does that mean when scratch or + players play then you must stay off the course as your bound to hold them up if you are not at there standard?
Golf is about a game of enjoyment and handicaps help people enjoy the game and have a fair game with anyone else. I know plenty 28 handicappers who struggle to score 36 points and once they get better they will get there lower handicap as it should be about your playing standard.
Dont get me wrong I feel CONGU can be slightly unfair at times, for example when I have got my main cuts I have posted 14 over for previous 3 rounds, I wish they would take this into account rather than deduct a shot a time. I am consistantly proven I can score better than my handicap but its a gradual decline.
