Sky all 4 days. Brilliant viewing.
Peter allis was the reason i watched sky..
Alway harping back to when so and so did this and that.. He continuously moans about 'modern day' golf, whether it be the money, the equipment, the balls, the course setup...
He should be retired with John Motson (same issues)
Yeah thats what they are packaging it up as - "selling a lifestyle".
5 lads, one likes go karts, the other buys all the lads chips, one is good at dancing.........which one are you, cos all of them bet, so all are "good lads".
i actually believe that some lads buy into it, even though they lose 7 out of 8 weeks.
I had an opportunity of a good job with Ladbrokes a couple of years back - but nah - in my heart I just couldn't countenance me working for them. Yes - sad - maybe stupid - I know some will say - it's not my problem they will say. Sadly you can't really avoid the gambling ads on telly these days - so how those struggling with a gambling addiction or serious problem manage to watch any TV after 9pm I don't know. But that's a discussion thread for another day.
I for one was impressed with Azinger
Was good to see him suggesting that the focus should be on Willet winning as opposed to Speith
Thought their coverage was very good on both Sat and Sun
Sky all 4 days. Brilliant viewing.
I thought he was very insightful and gave a different angle to the other BBC commentators.
Yep agree - I also like Grady and shame he wasn't there. Think all the commentators are good , Hazel is a very good presenter ( a country mile better than Livingstone ) and Brown is the jewel in the crown. No need for electronic gimmicks - but great insight just old pictures or drawing one himself.
I heard on the radio the peak viewing figures for THe Masters on Sunday.
Sky 250,000 whereas the BBC peaked at 2½ million ...................... 10 times the number on Sky!
Whilst I realise that not everyone has Sky Sports, I was still surprised.
I don't doubt doubt your numbers but would love to see where they came from. Can't believe there were only 250,000 watching on Sky. It seems a very small number
Looking at the viewers figures and seeing the difference only says to me that Sky dominating the Golf viewing will have a negative affect on the sport. How much of an affect I'm not sure but it's not a positive the BBC losing the Open regardless of how modern etc the Sky broadcast will be.
Sadly the BBC haven't been interested in golf in decades. Their attitude and presentation hasn't changed and pulling out of the open early clearly states they've no interest.
