I'm sat at a bar at Doral in 80 degree heat having played there this morning, drinking a nice cold beer watching it on the TV. Not sure what channel it is on and to be honest I'm not missing Allis much, but it looks pretty good to me what ever it is. ;)

Show off!' 😄 🍺

Wasn't going to bother as I couldn't bear the thought of watching JS take a slow walk to victory of a Sunday evening...

Glad I gave in at about ten as it turned out a good watch in the end...

Having just told Sky to shove their dish where the sun don't shine it was the Beeb for me...

Watched on BBC so that I didn't have to suffer the adverts, instead I had to suffer Peter Alliss. About time he retired from commentating as he is still living in the past where golf is concerned.

I started with the BBC but after half an hour my son turned to me with a look of puzzlement. "What's wrong with Sky, has it gone off". We turned over and I have to admit it was slicker and sharper. Rich Beem has been a good addition to the team and they change commentators often enough so that even the annoying ones don't ruin it. I like aspects of the BBC coverage, Azinger is very good for example, but it is looking dated. Pipe and slippers as someone said earlier. Nothing wrong with that for many but times have changed.

I don't think there is any contest, for me, if you have sky, the coverage is unrivaled (as i have mentioned before).

However, I was forced to flick between the 2, as my brother genuinely finds Peter Aliss bumbling on very amusing, for example calling Matsuyama an "Oriental Wizard". He also likes laughing at Ken on the course and the difference in tools between BBC and Sky....i.e the Jason Day hologram in the Sky coverage, versus some paper cut outs of the back 9 drawn by Ken!

They had Paul Azinger in the outside studio talking before live coverage began. Perhaps it was him on the mic as well. He spoke very well before they went to live coverage. I really didn't like him as a player, too abrasive, but like many has calmed down and speaks sense and with authority.

That was me. And I had the choice.

Peter allis was the reason i watched sky..

Alway harping back to when so and so did this and that.. He continuously moans about 'modern day' golf, whether it be the money, the equipment, the balls, the course setup...

He should be retired with John Motson (same issues)

I'm an Alliss fan but he got on my nerves yesterday banging on about the greens being unfair. The greens are Augusta's only defence, what does he expect? Slow em down and have the leaders shooting 25 under par?

I find the betting ads invidious and (almost) immoral. Oh look - the three nice lads on the sofa having a laugh over their betting and winning - isn't throwing money away such fun. I try and avoid.

Yeah thats what they are packaging it up as - "selling a lifestyle".

5 lads, one likes go karts, the other buys all the lads chips, one is good at dancing.........which one are you, cos all of them bet, so all are "good lads".

i actually believe that some lads buy into it, even though they lose 7 out of 8 weeks.
