Was reading a couple of days ago that he has sadly passed after a long battle with cancer. I cant remember much of him when i was younger but can remember his brilliant innovation and leadership of New Zealand in the 1992 World Cup that almost got them to the final.

One of those names that was synonymous with brilliance during the 80's and 90's. An average of 45 in test cricket during that period was nothing to be sniffed at.

I'm sure he will be missed and a sad few days for New Zealand cricket.

Saw him at Taunton a few times around 87/88 - brilliant player

Brilliant player and one of the nicest guys you could ever meet, you'll not hear anyone in cricket with a bad word to say about him. Sad to see him pass so young.
