Think this is bang on. I think a new shaft would have more influence than a new head.
Also, if you look at Cameron Champ, they rave about his flexibility as opposed to muscle mass. They say its where he generates his clubhead speed from. Unfortunately, as much as flexibility can be improved in us commoners, there is a limit as we move towards our golden years 😂😂
Speak for yourself mate. I'm bendier than one of those inflatable guys they have outside tyre places 😉

Who said it was personal ?

It’s more hyprocritical and it happens each year

TM release driver - outrage from the same sources , marketing , price , trying to suck the customer in blah blah

Then Callaway release another new driver then Cobra , Ping etc etc - silence

Not sure what it was that TM have done to harm people but it’s a yearly thing now and I suspect it will happen again next year and the year after.

I think the question is really

Who gives a monkeys?

I don’t care if all oems bring out a new driver every month.

My original point was just that I find TM so boring and cheap looking.

Whilst I can’t speak for others, it’s obviously more than just product cycle that people don’t like them

Why am I now picturing you naked behind a glass window, dancing to the theme from ‘tales of the unexpected’?

As I said their looks are marmite - some like them some don’t - not too bothered about that

My point in that post was that certain posters are continually critical about TM and mainly because of their release cycle , they did suggest that Callaway would get the same “treatment” - yet when Callaway did release a new driver as they do every year it was met by a wall of silence by said.

So was wondering why the different treatment of the two OEM - now if it’s down to personal preference of a brand due to looks etc then no issues at all - everyone has their favourite due to performance or price or in your case looks but it looks just a touch hyprocritical to be critical of the brand due to release schedules when the brand you like ( not you personally ) release clubs on what appears to be an even shorter release cycle ( none of this is aimed at you to be clear )

Don't know if there's any relevance but TM is traditionally a 'younger persons brand' and Callaway was seen for a long time to be used by old timers and the like, most forum members are generally middle aged and older so there may be a slight connection there, just my feeling on a lot of the viewpoints on TM and lack of them on other brands

Well I guess it's better than sitting naked on a glass coffee table.

Jeez everyone, untwist thy knickers, ( apart from Tuggles who is so twisted it isn’t true ) 😂😂

Golf club manufacturers releasing new golf clubs, shock Horror probe.

It happens, you don’t have to like em, you don’t have to buy em, it obviously works coz they keep doing it, if it didn’t work they would stop.

It’s a business, it needs to make money , R & D costs are high, live n let live

Pass the ganja maaaan 👍😎😎

Not sure TM ever deliberately set out to be a young person brand. Back in the days of their Burner range etc they were far more understated and probably used by a wider demographic. Similarly with Callaway their designs historically were more conservative and had a bigger crossover appeal. These days with the more jazzy graphics and bullish marketing there is no doubt these particular brands probably are looking at the younger end, which is perhaps why the likes of Ping are always seen as old man clubs. It's simple and always is whenever a club is released, if you like it, can afford it, try it and then buy it.

Well I, can't wait for the Epic flash. It is just so me. It has my name on it, and I can hear it calling to me.

And my Epic has been roofed. Properly.

Just hit the M5 today alongside my M3 with my own shaft in both, can say for sure it's an improvement in looks and certainly a nicer more muted sound, also great feel. Couldn't really tell distance wise, was hitting up the range into a headwind, when I picked them up they were grouped in a similar cluster. Great flight and feel though. Also looks wise it has a very slightly smaller footprint looking down but hardly noticeable and is very similar with the exception of the matt finish.
I probably wouldn't buy one straight away but would certainly have no hesitation when the price drops a little. Overall I'd say a great driver

Had a look at them today, didn’t hit them but looks wise, not a lot different to the M4 (other than the screws in the face and the colours).

Had a look at the irons too. Very chunky, fat and heavy, the sole looked wider than a ping. Again I didn’t hit them, they may be really good, I don’t know. But I really didn’t like the looks of them at all.
