What a glorious morning for golf. Just a shame noone told my putter which was frozen all day. I couldn't buy a putt. Ended up with a 92, net 70 which should see me get another cut at least, down to 21.

Given a bit of a lesson in short game efficiency by a young lad playing off 5 that I went round with. He had a shocker off the tee all day. If you saw just the tee shots you'd probably have been hard pressed to say which of us played off 22. But from near the green he nearly always gave himself a short putt and came in with a gross 79.

Having a nightmare time with my Odyssey. Playing a roll up game tomorrow and putting the Ping Anser back in just to try and get something going. Thinking too much about the stroke. Need to just trust and pick a line and hit it

I worked on 5ft putts on the course on Friday evening and found that I wasn't committing to the putt, I hit loads of them with a better roll and in today's comp I barely missed one and sank 3 or 4 beuts!

Our greens are in awesome condition but are lightening quick and I really struggled with anything outside of 6 foot yesterday. This coupled with a touch of sunburn made conditions uncomfortable
