Loss of distance with new irons...

Yeah it's not chewing me up like it is your mate. I think I'll be fine once I get used to it and start playing for the distance gap.

But I haven't got a true read of distance yet mainly due to the condition of the course, getting next to no run, especially with iron shots.

Nice to hear it's not bothering you. Any time I read things like this I always think of the story of two golfers. One a older guy and the other a young gun hitting into a par 3.

After the shots.
Young gun: what club did you hit.
Old Guy: 4 iron
Young Gun: I only hit a 9.
Old Guy: You've got a 20 foot putt and mine is 2.

It's doesn't matter what you use as long as the result is good. Far too much dick measuring in this sport at times.

You need to start hitting the middle of them more often
Have a bash with mine next time, try 7 irons side by side or summat and we'll see if there's any difference. Obviously I'm a big hitter so I naturally get it way past you
