Losing weight/fitness thread

Are there any references in this thread about chair yoga for seniors? 80 pages is a long browse but if there are then I'll plough back through.
They all ask you lengthy questions then offer your plan in exchange for your bank details.

Last few years we’ve stopped sending Christmas Cards and made a donation to a different, Charity, this year we are donating to a local foodbank and I’ve decided to do a sponsorship event.
12 Days of 5K’s in aid of Childrens Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS)
No target, just hoping to raise a few quid for them.

So 1st 5km done in just over 27 mins.

Think I've read most of them, haven't seen that unfortunately.

Gave it a quick YouTube search, and this came up, not sure if it's what you're after?

Same session as sunday today.🤷‍♂️ so combined it with Day 2 of raising money for Childrens Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) lovely day, bit cool and lighter winds.

Whole session was 5.58 mile in total, no issue until I’d finished and changed my Garmin setting to Metric and it showed 8.99kms…OCD in overdrive😂😂 who finishes on an odd number.😱

So a broken miles interval session last night. That's the hardest one I've done so far on Runna, not too sure how I hit all the reps but I did.
Ended up being 6.8 miles with the walking sections between reps. So pretty happy to average 9.39 minute miles, session below.

1.5mi warm up at a conversational pace (no faster than 9:55/mi), 90s walking rest

3 reps of:
• 0.75mi at 8:10/mi, 120s walking rest
• 0.25mi at 7:35/mi, 60s walking rest

1mi cool down at a conversational pace

Just over 3.5 miles today, including a “Magic Mile” Session.
Went very well, mile time was 7:46, now in week 13 of training programme, same session in week 2 my mile time was 8:37, only a small marker, but still really pleased with the progression.

It's losing weight and fitness. Running definintely comes under the fitness heading.

The runners seem the most dedicated and post a lot recently. Last 3 pages nearly exclusively running times. Which is fair enough.

Its not really going to inspire joe blogs to shift a few Llbs.

It was just a thought like. The runners could get as deep into the subject as you want.

Maybe it’s simply the time of the year? Winter, people looking forward to Christmas and the excess’s it brings and with the cold dark nights doing less and less activities.

January could see the thread going in a whole different direction with us wanting to lose a few extra pounds.

The posting of runs and times for me really helps my mental health knowing there are like minded people struggling and pushing themselves, it really helps with my motivation.

That's fair. I was Joe Bloggs once trying to start, and could barely run from one lamp post to the next.
Anyone needs any help ask away.
