ok, so, do looks really matter? the reason I ask is that i am hitting my callys well, as well, if not better than any other iron I have played.
But........
I hate the way they look, I dont like the look in my bag, I am not excited by the look at address, but when the ball comes off the face, it goes where it is meant to. (majority of the time).
So why then do I want to change them, are looks really that important?
I realise I am being selfish, but I want irons that perform this well, but look better, too much to ask?

I know the feeling well, your not on your own there. My clubs are perfect for me but I still keep thinking I might be better if only I got a so and so. I know I wouldn't be any better but still keeps eating away in my thought process.

thanks Brendy, I have a feeling that something in what you said is right.

Honestly (and seriously!) if you keep chopping and changing you will always have itchy feet. Settle and give your current kit a year, if the handicap figures come down, stick with them. If it goes up, at the very least consider why, it may not always be the clubs fault either.

When I got my titleists my handicap still went up a shot, I had an honest look at what was going on and realised it was my shortgame that was messing me about. New putter and a changed putting routine/method and I came back down 2 shots..... so far.

Im having the same thoughts as you. I hate the look of my Cobra s2 Max and usually hit them very well. But they are just so ugly and now have a few chips out of them from some rogue stones. It didn't help when I went in AG today and they had the JPX800 in stock. Ive only had the Cobras 3 months as well.

I couldnt agree more with Brendy's reply....
Im only 10 weeks in with my i10's i think and at the moment my handicap has crept slowly back to 17....
I know that its not the clubs fault because funnily enough iv been hitting the irons well...

I was a bit wary of them because iv read so many bad comments about the irons but to be honest...Yes they bite when you dont catch one properly but for the most part they are very good clubs...The distance control with them is good...
Where they are catching me is directionally left and right at times...But thats me again and not the bats..

I made a promise to myself yesterday that ill stick with them for 12 months and take what comes....Im fiddling a bit with my swing too at the moment so i have to take that into account too...

Where im let down a little is a confidence issue with my driver(Im 99% of the time hitting 3 wood) and the odd one or 2 tee shots going astray with other clubs....
My putting which is normally good has taken a back seat for the last few weeks...I might go back to a mallet for a bit more forgiveness and stability.

Ill definately drop shots off my handicap if i tackle my short game issues but i cant blame the clubs any more....

The way i see things now is ask yourself this.....Have i hit at least a dozen exceptional shots with your current clubs....If the answer is yes then have faith in them and leave the other shiney's alone :D :D

Agree with everyone that's said if they're working then stick with them.

Couldn't do it myself personally. I know some people say AP2's are ugly, but they're fine for my eye. I wouldn't even try a club that I thought looked horrible as I wouldn't want to play with them.
