Looking forward to a great run of golf.

Had a great run recently:-

Royal Lytham 3-4 months ago (for only £40.00 in an awayday matchplay comp)

Princes Twice for £35.00 in their open week, with a third prize of £50.00.

Littlestone for £25.00 (I think) in their open, also got a 3rd prize of £25.00

Royal Aberdeen (full price @ £100.00, but mileage made on charging work more than paid for it)

The Carrick (Loch Lomond) for £35.00 twilight.

Still a week in Fife in October to come, with maybe a knock on the old course, if I can be lucky with the starter for single golfers. May also call on some of the Kingdom of fife chaps, also, or at a push may do the Longniddry golf meet (although 1.5 hours drive, I think away from where we are staying).

All great(ish) courses, but at great savings also, which is always a bonus!!! :)

A couple of weekends ago I played Machrihanish and Machrihanish Dunes, playing the Carrick on the 16th, and hope to get back down to St Nicholas with Farneyman over the next couple of weeks plus got a game at West Kilbride next midweek.

May get back to Machrihanish again before the end of October.

Cheers Dodger, I hope your own golf outings go well. Looking forward to it, I use to see it from the train when commuting in and out of Dublin City.

Bladeplayer, good luck in the Forest of Arden, Ballyliffen is such a long time ago when you have to come in off the course at 8:30 these evenings. Bring home that trophy with you,

Sunday 18th Sept : Great North Run (might squeeze medal in afterwards)

Tuesday 20th Sept : Hid due our second baby!!!

Now thats a plan :D

The Carrick was in decent nick when I played it last week, BTW.

The greens could have been better, but the fairways were great. I lost about 6 balls on the first 4 holes though, got my head together after that, but birdied the very high to a low green par 3 on the back 9 (14,maybe).

A steal at 35.00, worth 60.00, but defo not 125.00. Take sarnies though, food was mega expensive in the claret jug.£8.00 odd for a butty (on ordinary white bread, not even daily baked bread. It may have even been Sunblest FFS!!!
