Starting on Thursday I have a great run of golf coming up over the next month or so.....

Thursday I am playing in a Pro-Am at Goswick with a mate who has just enjoyed his maiden Professional victory last week so I am really looking forward to this....good craic with 3 mates on a Thursday afternoon beats work anytime!

Ten days later I'm off the Western Gailes for a regional qualifier through work,WG is a course I love, true links golf at it's best.

A week later it's Cruden Bay and Royal Aberdeen on consecutive days.I have not played Cruden Bay but have heard great reports about it and I can't wait to return to the beast that is Royal Aberdeen and see if I can put last years horror 94 to bed........problem is the bloke I played with last year said I wouldn't get a better day weather wise to tackle it!

To finish off my September fun it's Kilmarnock Barassie which again is another place I have not played but have heard superb reports on.

Anyone any experience of the tracks I aint sampled yet and anyone got any golf trips that they are looking forward to?

I have a bit lined up. Next week is the Rory Underwood Charity day with GM then a Social Team away match at Newark a the weekend (a new course for me), 2 weeks after I am off on holiday to Northern Cyprus but have an agreement with HID that I can head down South for a round of golf if I want. The day after I get back it is up to Goswick for the England v Scotland Match then a few days after that it is the GM Centenary Final at Forest of Arden. There are club comps to fill in the gaps so I have a really top run in to the end of the season

I'll be interested to hear what you think of Barassie Dodger.

I find it a wee bit dull, certainly in comparison to the other Open Qualifiers nearby.

No trips planned until one just over the border in what 5 weeks ? :D

Off to Dublin at the weekend and might convince HID to let me play Royal Dublin if I can on the Saturday, then there is talk of my a couple of mates head to either Portrush or similar towards the end of September for a weekend of beer (golf) the Goswick in October, as well as the usual club stuff.

I'm just looking forward to getting back on the course on a weekly basis. I moved house a few weeks back and my mum passed away not long before that so golf has been on the back burner the last few months but from this weekend onwards i'm back playing weekly and i cant wait.

Barassie = great course ruined by a dire new nine which is just a long boring open slog. The original 18 was a great course.

If you want a caddie at Gailes I will oblige.

Playing a couple of new courses over the next few weeks.

As posted earlier I'm playing Alnwick castle on Monday for the first time then I'm stopping at longhirst hall for 2 nights on the wedensday and playing the 2 courses there for the first time and then hopefully in the next few weeks get up to Dunstanburgh and maybe try squeeze in a round at seahouses or goswick while I'm up that way.

My end of season is peaking nicely. Powerplay tomorrow, club match against local rivals on Saturday and a lesson on Sunday. Masters (comp winners only) on the 11th and then building up to the GM Centenary final next month

Well I was finally discharged by the physio yesterday so I've got 3 months of missed golf to fit in before the Goswick match  :)

Going to the Walker Cup at Royal Aberdeen then back there afew weeks later for there open, the course should be in great condition, and a game at Kingsbarns for heehaw as my mates a caddie there, then thats me for the year

I've got some treats coming up:
PGA course at The Belfry this Friday.
Pannal, Harrogate for my brother's invitation day the week after.
Breadsall Priory course for a corporate day late Sept.
And another for the GM Centenary at Forest of Arden in October.

A nice finish to the year!
