Looking for a thriller or drama

Hannibal is multiple seasons but I don't think it will go crazy long and not looking good for season 4. Season three only came to be due to massive audiences in Europe and online, had been axed after season 2. Great series and by the time you get through 1&2 3 should be ready to cap it off.

Hannibal is great. Season 3 has been amazing so far.

Started watching the following. fast paced us thing with Kevin bacon. pretty good.

Watched the wire this year for the first time. Got hooked. awesome series. Sad to see it go. "sssshhhiiiiitttttttt''

Dexter was very good but it completely jumped the shark in the last series. It suffered as a lot of US shows suffer, in that they start off with one very good idea/concept, in Dexter's case he's a otherwise normal serial killer who only kills people he thinks deserve it. But they do so many episodes a series and if it is successful so many series's so they eventually run out of things to do. And it either gets repetitive or very silly.

I found with most series, they tend to make 1series too many.
Sopranos is still by far the best box set & was excellent from start to finish.

i thought the first 3 series of the wire where fantastic. It should of ended there, no need for 4&5.

loved the first series of true detective, this one is hard work though. Full concentration needed, which is not good with an iPad sitting next to you!

Just on the of the first series of Ray Donovan and I don't know why, but I'm really surprised I like it. Hidden gem

Agree Dexter and Prison Break are 2 fine examples of series that had maybe 2 series in them but went too far. The Shield stayed strong to the end, Sons of Anarchy had a couple of dud series, the walking dead has been solid so far but should not go beyond a couple more series.

We've just finished series 1 of Blacklist and are patiently awaiting for series 2, we loved it.

Whilst surfing through our new Now TV box I found Alias on ABC Studios channel and just like Blacklist we watched multiple episodes in a single night, loved that also.

Were now up to the live episodes of Madam Secretary and can't wait for the following week, wasn't sure of it at first but are firmly hooked into it now.

Watched a few pilots and didn't go much further with them like Bedlam and a couple of others so like you, were on the look out for something else, we keep checking for series 2 of Blacklist to show but no joy yet :(

However as the OP mentions the Blacklist which up to now has had 2 series (and therefore goes against the one series rule)

Dependent how your able to watch it, I only have Now TV and as such only series 1 has been shown, I'm waiting for series 2.

It's worth the wait!

As an aside, I thought Now TV had access to Sky Atlantic? Been looking at it as a serious alternative to my current Sky subscription as £121 per month is getting silly. Do they delay what's available to download? Can you still watch the shows 'live'? Could sway my decision as Sky Atlantic is not available on Virgin etc. I also liked the capability to dip in and out of sport/movies as required. Got it in my mind to leave now due to their sneaky regular £3.40 rises. Especially when Sky announced profits of £1.4bn the other day! However if Now TV isn't all that I'll probably have to play the renegotiation game and get a 12 month 'bargain' followed by 6 month at full whack.

You can watch a multitude of programmes live such as Sky 1, Atlantic, Living, Gold and more, I got a fee 3mth entertainment pass when I bought my box for £19.99 from Curry's, great deal and love it.

Just got the 30 day fee trial for the movies but I'm struggling with that, other than the film catergories, there in no alphabetical or date of release order and with no search facility you have to scan through hundreds to find something

Otherwise its a great alternative.

I'm now up to date and watching Madam Secretary live
