Anyone else have the same dilemma do I cancel my Saturday morning round to watch the lions or do I play and watch later hoping no one has told me the result ! .. Playing cricket on the afternoon so cant watch it until 9 at night.

And on the team glad to see corbs as prop much better scrummager than MV.. bit worried the BOD will get smashed and we have no natural replacement still expect us to win by 10

I'm still going to play as its a cup comp.

Corbs is definately a better scrummager, gats is saving mako for the lst 20 minutes to cause havoc in open broken play.

I think BOD is a liability these days and there are better players available.

Golf for me too but will most likely catch the Lions match later.

BOD will potentially be more expossed now Jamie Roberts is injured but I think you are doing him an injustice calling him a liability, he's still a class act, I also fancy Davies will be pretty able in there. No worries at all and fancy Lions by at least 10.

From a Scottish point of view, Im a bit disappointed not to see Richie Gray or Stuart Hogg listed as replacements, suppose thats the heart ruling the head though.

Golf in the PM for me, can't not watch it live !!

It looks a pretty balanced team to me. I'd have Sean O'Brian and Manu on the bench though and may have gone for Zebo instead of Cuthbert

Got a round of golf in the PM in prep for a comp on the Sunday!

I would agree Valentino about Hogg, feel he is a bit unlucky with the way he is being used! Can't agree on Gray though, feel that he has been a long way off his best this tour, which is strange! Last year I would have put money on him being guaranteed a start, but his lack of performance combined with a lot of competition for the second row seems to have worked out badly for him!

BOD a liability!!??

Anyway, team looks good to me, shame Roberts or Tuilagi aren't fit as one of those two at 12 would give the team a bit more of a robust look.

If BOD does get injured they'll likely just move North into the Centres, or (hopefully not) bring on Farell at 12. I can't watch it live (not through golf) but will sky+ it and watch in the afternoon.

Agree about Gray, picked the wrong tour to go off the boil. Hogg is a bit unfortunate but seems to have been taken as a "cover all" player for the midweek matches rather than with an eye on the Test team.

Surprised to see Maitland on the bench if I'm honest, not really sparkled on this tour either, I assume Kearney is still struggling with injury?

Can't disagree about Gray on form, it's the patriot in me that wants the Scots involved ;)

Maitland is a funny character, can be very hit and miss in almost the same mould as a winger in football.

What time is kickoff?
Usually take my daughter to drama class at 9.30, go shopping and back home for 10.45.
Oh, and is it on Sky Sports or normal tv?

Last time I tried to avoid a result was when Wales beat England in the 6 Nations decider. Recorded it on V+, avoided the result all night, picked up the missus later that night who was stotting drunk. Got home, switched on tv missus blurts out "Oh god, the rugby was awful wasn't it", switched off tv, thanked her for the heads up and went to bed :D

KO 11am, on Sky

Obviously some rugger fans on here!

Could youi explain the atraction of the Lions.

It seems like the harlem globetrotters to me. A made up team playing a series of exhibition matches for no apparent reason.

Or do you see it as Ryder Cup type thing..????

Just curious?

It's a bit like the Ryder Cup I suppose. of course they're "just" exhibition games, but ones that only happen once every 4 years. Just a great tradition that pits the very best of the Home Nations against the top Southern Hemisphere teams...Can't really explain it, but there is something special about it.

Surprised at this comment about BOD. Pretty sure he would get in any team in the world. Gives a huge amount to the team in terms of organisation, leadership etc. Still has great ability, runs great lines to make space for others and defence is massive.

I thought that the Lions were lucky to escape with a narrow win. Australia have all the odds against them-especially now that Digby has a warrant out for his arrest!
