Links is OK and some of the views are stunning, but i do like a tree lined fairway and as I don't live near the coast links is not a real option for me.

Heather is never lucky on a heathland course.Maybe it's a heathland course and they were selling lucky heather
I don't really know the differences properly if I'm honest. I just like to play golf. As long as it's a nice course I'm fine, not really bothered if it's one of the 3 types. Not sure whether Wimbledon would be classed as parkland or heathland but that's where I play mostly. Possibly the nicest course I've played Ardglass? In northern Ireland. I think that's a links?
Ardglass is not a links, but, that said, it's nearly impossible to fit into any category. It's in the Ardglass category, all on its own!
