so what your saying is motherwell is like the setting for the hobbit? middle earth lol

Something like that - and their refreshment comes from Buckfast Abbey! Certainly the ones I saw staggering around the fairways of Bellshill! Lanark is rather more 'up-market' though

before i die ...

NEFYN-GOLF.jpg

Seen it, done it - in 28 mph winds. 70-80 yard left to right ball flights was fun. Luckily as a fader I was aiming inland, the drawer was aiming over the isle of man.

Welcome back Craw BTW - hope the 'big hoose' wasn't too hard on you.;)

fancy another run at it LB ? hopefully on a nice day!

I have had two runs at it - still can't play it. Maybe if in the area again, as it's a good 2.5 hours.generally an overnighter, maybe if we took in Aberdovey also, as I've already played St. davids twice as well, which isn't too far away.

The two holes before and two after are quite good also, as they are still on the headland link.

I did actually consider Leven but the 70-80 mins each way is a killer week in week out. If there was 2-3 locally to share the driving it might have been a goer.

Big man you know what your missing......

Scottish Champion Of Champions was held as normal on Leven Links this weekend, 72 hole stroke play and it played host to the cream of Scotlands amateur golfers. The winning score was -4 this year, we are heading over tomorrow morning for a game and by all accounts the course is in great condition and the greens are lightning fast.

ill have to play it at some stage. i see its 2.5 hr drive. pity there is no motorway out that road! i can imagine how hard it would be on a windy day.

Love it.

Kind of spolit where i stay, 10 minute drive to Monifieth ,15 to Carnoustie and 15 to St Andrews so i would say i'm where its at:whoo:

I know what you mean, I'm still split, need to convince the family that they can spare me for two days this year!

If you don't fancy Nefyn, Royal St David's is the best course in North Wales from what I've heard, you may want to give that a bash. Either way, I hope you enjoy your adventures in my home country!

I play my best golf on a links for some reason. i just loving thinking my way around a links course. Just played Gullane No.3 and got North Berwick West Links this Wednesday cant wait!!
