lighten things up pre Xmas --Funny things happened whilst playing Golf

Very similar story to that of Fyldewhite. A few years back one of my regular playing partners got himself an electric trolley. All the way round he was showing off as to how he could set the trolley to go certain preset distances.

Then at the 10th he sets it off towards the green failing to take into account the effect of the severely sloping fairway, The four of us then watched as the trolley went full speed into the greenside bunker, tipped up and emptied all the clubs into the water filled sandy hole.

The three of us ended ourselves laughing.

Got to the 11th at ours late summer when we saw a buggy stuck in the ditch about 30 yards away from the tee.

It seems some ladies had ignored the buggy path and decided to go straight to their balls, being gentlemen the group in front of us (4 guys)decided to lend a hand and push the buggy out.

They were just about to heave it out the ditch when one of them put the accelerator down sending out a huge spray of mud and water all over the gentlemen.

We laughed they didn't.

I used to be a junior member at Deer Park many moons ago. It wasn't the 15th where your brother slipped? Very steeply downhill off the tee and I recall doing similar myself :D

think it was the 10th. the long par 4 with the burn and trees down the right hand side?

I was on the driving range recently and there was a man fixing the drainage,i shouted that i was getting my wood out and i might reach him,i asked him nicely to put a helmet on,he shouted back he was ok and i wouldnt reach.I carried on and was getting closer each shot, then i creamed one it hit him right on the head he went down hard i thought i had killed him .That was not funny, however i ran over just as he was getting up and told him it was his fault which he luckily agreed. But what was funny was the lump right on his forehead an absolute corker,i dont think he agreed with that.

Looks like you were deliberately aiming for him, Thats not golf, thats just stupid "SHAME ON YOU"

there is a big difference between circumstances that result in something funny happening and a wilfull disregard for other people

I think that's the 11th, I spent many a time in that burn looking for my sliced drive :D

Another was with a few forum members and Evita had hit every bit of water on the course and teed up to hit a shot with water in front of him again. He swung and the ball shot off at right angles, straight into another pond that has probably NEVER been in play before.
I just fell apart.

:D O how we laughed, but I wanted to give the poor guy a refund, or a voucher for 12 new eggs :D

Playing with the father in law about 2 years ago, My ball went in to a little stream that run down the left hand side of a par 3, We walked down to find it and the ground was quite soft, I spotted a ball but it wasn't mine. Mine I can only imagine had gone through the mud bank. Ray says heres yours and I told him it wasn't ( 3 times I told him as he was trying to get down to it) As he put his foot on the mud bank he slipped on his a**e and slid into the stream with his legs in the air, the air proceeded to turn blue. As he picked him self up and climbed out, ball in hand I said nothing. When he handed me the ball with a look that could assasinate, I just said its not mine Ray and tossed it back in. :D The look on his face was a picture.
