I watched a Justine Rose & some other dude DVD and it changed my game, so a £5.99 dvd can make a difference rather than waste £100s on lessons when in a few months go back to the way you played before or carry on spending £100s on lessons every few months and slowly progressing but buying it.

You reckon?

Not everyone goes back to the way they swung the club before, otherwise no-one would get an better? :D I got from 28-8 in 4 years, with only enough money for the odd lesson, never did me any harm.....

The odd lesson is cool, its just when people are obsessed with lessons otherwise their game goes down the pan, you know the ones who have to have a lesson on their short game when they fluff a couple of wedge shots.

I think thats down to the individual parmo, If you work hard enough on the swing changes and groove it in over time, Muscle memory writes it deep in the brain, tis like riding a bike, you never forget but you may get wobbly. It just takes a little time to get good at it again.

I have had a terrible month. Completely forgot how to swing and hit a ball. I shot +18 four rounds in a row, then everything went wrong, shot 117 on saturday and considered taking a long walk on a short pier.

Had a lesson on sat after my round, re-sorted out my grip, stance and swing. Improvements already, but I know its going to be a long slog to get it all into the memory but, have another next week and i think its defo worth having a lesson every now and then, even if its just to re-focus and remotivate.

Hi, 6 months ago I started to play golf again(5 year lay off) 6 years ago my HC was 15 so I thought I could go down the range for a couple of weeks on my own and sort my swing out(surely my body would rember how to swing a club!!)how wrong was I so for the first month of play I managed to shoot on average 125 an a par 68.....not good, so I decided to to seek some help off my local pro....it has been a long 5 months shooting everything from 99 to 140, you name i did it tops ,skys fats ect...but then on one saturday morning I was teeing off at the first tee, and all of a sudden all the pro,s work started to make sense and screamed a drive of 230 yards with a nice gentle fade(I am a bit of a slicer)and had one of the best rounds i have had....So to cut a long story short, go and see a pro they will help you to play golf with a consistent swing...5 lessons in for me and I am now starting to ply some tidy golf at last...
