It has become crystal clear to me in recent weeks that I am struggling badly as I handicap has gone up 1.6 already this season. I've not gotten within 4 shots of buffer in any counter, and I have as many NRs to my name this term as completed rounds. Trying to work things out on the range myself hasn't helped and I have resigned myself to needing a lesson or two to get me back on track.

Here's the thing, the pro I was working with last year - and who got me from 18 to 12 - at our place has moved on, and the new pro (who was our pro before the last pro) is still transitioning out of his last role as club manager and so his coaching time is very limited currently.

I could go back to my pro from last year (he's 40mins drive away) which isn't a huge issue; he's good and his rates are reasonable. He coaches by eye though, and doesn't have any launch monitor facilites currently. Fuel costs associated with getting to my last pro mean I may be better served looking closer to home though.

I could wait then until our current pro has a bit more time, but by then my season could be over. Or I can find another coach locally in West Lothian or surrounding... any recommendations? Ideally, I'd like a Trackman session or two as part of any lesson package.

Colin Brooks at Braid Hills is great. He hasn't used Trackman in any of the lessons I've had with him but they've got all the gear up there, so I'm sure you could get it if you asked.

Thanks for that mate.

Scott Greive @ Turnhouse is looking likeliest just now, as he has GC2 and is just five minutes from my work.

Whereabout in west Lothian are you? How much is a "reasonable" rate
40 minutes isn't that far to travel for a coach you like.
Kevin Craggs is Falkirk based, has all the equipment but he's not that cheap.
