Has anyone seen this in Imax yet? I haven't been to the cinema for over 12 years so am looking forward to Les Mis. I have seen the stage show many times, even going to London to see it, so I am sceptical about the movie but the reviews are encouraging. I could go to Dundee 10 miles away and see the normal version, but wonder if it worth the 60 mile trip to Edinburgh to see the Imax version.
Never heard of that one, but surely no-one can be dry eyed at the end of "it's a wonderful life"
Reviews I've seen say the singing is the worst part, that will be the main difference between movie and stage where they had professional singers.

Nonsense...sorry pal but even though they are all Hollywood stars they did a job no one can decry. Remember as my Father always said " It takes no skill to be a critic" See it then make up your own mind. You only have 8 quid to loose.
if you are referring to my post its quite clearly NOT my opinion, it's the critics reviews.

Ive just been to see it with the wife and if your like me , oh yes you will cry , but it will be with boredom and a severe pain in the backside after sitting through nearly 3 hours of it . the wife who loves the theatre and cinema decided the best way to deal with it was to sleep , and on waking half an hour later asked if i had brought any rusty knives out with me . It was painful and i believe people clapped at the end because they was glad it had finished. Dire film .

am i on the right forum!!!!!!! i always thought men who liked musicals were strange and admitting to crying over a fictitious loud of twaddle well i just cant believe it,i had to stop sewing the sequins on my best friends(justin )new top to have my say.
