I have just got back from the pictures where HID and myself saw Les Miserables, I'm not going to bother reviewing it, suffice to say I blubbed like a girl from start to finish and by the end I was a wreck! I said I wouldn't review it suffice to say if you do not go and see this film then you will miss out big time it is an epic and a triumph. Now where is that tissue?

That's difficult to answer, the live musical is amazing but the film is much more intimate, all of the songs are sung on close up so you really feel the atmosphere of it. I will not spoil it for anyone. I cannot see anyone not enjoying it.

Reckon I'll go and see this with the wife. She dragged me along to see Moulin Rouge when it first came out and I ended up absolutely loving it!! :o

10/10

I took the wife and kids to see it last night. Wow what an awesome movie. Not many dry eyes in the house and the atmosphere was great. Did they all clap in your cinema at the end of One Day More?

I was actually pleasantly surprised by Russell Crow's voice he did very well IMO

Yes everyone clapped, not a single dry eye, if you watch this and do not cry you have no soul, lads beware....good job it was dark.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it next week. I love the musical theatre version...so hoping the film isn't a let down. The various award nominations are pretty much saying it isn't though!!

swmbo has seen the live musical around 25 times- so I'll take her to see this as its getting rave reviews.

Its different to the show but its not a let down by any stretch of the imagination. If you loved the theatre version you will still love this I'm sure.

Ali G as Thenardier was pure class.

Will this convert a person who cannot see the point of singing a story............

Me personally I dont think I could sit through this for all the money in the world, just not my cup of tea. I like the theatre but dont like classic musicals. Just not a fan of shouty singing and depressing stories.........

My only reluctance to go to see this film is that I have always promised myself I would go and see the theatre show, its sort of a bucket list thing, although I have promised myself this for the last ten years. Would the theatre show be an anti-climax after the film? Although it could be another ten years before I see the show.

The first thing my other half said afterwards was that she wanted to go and see the show again. Thats not taking anything away from the film its just that the theatre show is really special.

I dont know if it was just our cinema but I wished they could have hiked the volume up a bit.

I'm not exaggerating we know someone who has seen the theatre show more than 20 times!!!
