left below right chipping ?

Have recently tried some left hand below right putting and found it a revelation. much nicer shoulder rocking and seem to 'middle' the putts much more regularly.

Given that chipping is sometimes described as 'putting with loft' I wondered if anyone had tried chipping in this fashion, and if so were there any particular things that worked or not ?

Will wander out myself sometime later in the week and have a poke.

most of us have tried most of the chipping methods- who hasn't. At the end of the day use what YOU feel works for YOU.
There are great exponents of ball off back foot, weight on left and loads of shaft lean, ball in middle with shaft in middle and 55/45 weight on left:thup: or ball off front foot blah blah blah, get the picture? they all work for various people but 1 doesn't work for all

If you have the room and time, try this.

Give yourself a tricky 10-15yd chip shot (downhill lie and/or over a bunker) and play 10 shots one-handed. 5 with your right hand and 5 with only your left.

Left hand better : Try chipping as method 1 from DV above ie. weight on left, ball back in stance, shaft leaning forward through the shot.

Right hand better : DV method 2. Shaft more neutral, ball in middle, weight only just favouring left foot, let the club come past the hands through impact using the bounce of the club.

I did that for about six months years ago. As soon as I started shanking that way as well I gave up the game for ten years.
