Yesterday on the irritations thread, there was a mention of a pothole in Tring.

Now some of you may think that "Tring" is a little odd or humorous place name.

But just outside Tring is this village



and if you make your way from there towards Luton you will pass through this place



I was very disappointed to discover that the pub there is not called The Slip End Inn.
