A few years ago, very near my home, that scene was a reality when an elderly couple shot out of their drive, across a busy main road, smashed through a brick garden wall, across the garden and into the living room of the house opposite.
It was en route to our golf club and dozens of members observed the spectacle for months.
We only found it funny because no-one died. How, we'll never know. If uninjured, a heart attack would have been a reality.
We often wonder if they're now friends.
I bet "Pop across for a drink" is never spoken.

As an aside, I have noticed that Sainsbury's does have an apostrophe whereas Bettys does not.
