Same argument on another specialist sports forum. However 1000 posts only gets you out of newbie status! At least on this site, no-one can just rack up posts by quoting 'whats it rate!'.

Lots of posts means nothing, but it's nice to recognise it, it's all quite friendly round here, not like that other place I visit.

Yes mate, on a car forum I have over 8k posts but to me it means nowt once you get past the first few hundred as the rest fly after.

congratulations mate, I think the good thing with the 1000 club is it shows a great deal of comitment to the cause of providing some much needed golf medicine whilst the course is merely calling out names.
