How long ago was that and how long did he remain in & around the England set up when it was clear that he had "gone".

Keiswetter lost form about 2 years ago and went back to regain that form - which he has and hence why he got his call up to the WC Squad

He is another who burst onto the scene then faded initially - his exposure in the Big Bash will help him further and expect to see him part of the squads again now.

Well thats the development he needs - the development at the top level and players get it by playing in those matches. It wasnt because of Buttler and his keeping that we went home early - his development in the team hasnt held the team back

I do wonder if you have ever played the game.
The keeper is central to the team's efforts when in the field. Bowlers have to have confidence in the wicket-keeper if they are to be successful and the example set by the keeper is vital if the outfielders are to maintain high standards.
Sadly this winter Buttler has not set or maintained those standards.

Im sure you can point me to the written press articles that show that will back up your theory

I do recall seeing a Guardian article which said that Buttler was one of the players to emerge from the winter with his head held high.

I also recall him playing well behind the stumps but missing the stumping in the SA game - nor seen any suggestions that the bowlers/fielders have no confidence in him ( the same bowlers that have been slapped all over the park ) - unless i have missed some glaring errors from Buttler that have appeared in the press ?

I will look forward to reading the articles to highlight your points because so far google just appears to find ones praising his performaces over the winter

These commentators did not include David LLoyd who, I believe, is not there.
Also if you had watched the games you would have seen the reaction of his team-mates to some of the fumbles and runs conceded.
It would appear that your attitude towards cricket matches the one you have towards football except that for Liverpool read Somerset.

Well im pretty sure i heard one of the commentators mention that his keeping has been excellent up until that missed stumping against SA - thought it sounded like Bumble

I see multiple fumbles and dropped catches from multiple England players - in fact a lot more out in the field that behind the stumps.

Bar the SA game - can you highlight any other specific games or times where he has cost us ?

He didnt have the greatest of T20 WC - not many players did - but he certainly proved himself both in Australia and against the Windies.

I was out today and will watch the highlights later - but have seen a few reports on Sky News about the dropped catches in the deep and the extremely poor batting from the whole line up to get bowled out for 88.

Suffice to say the Holland keeper was both tidier and more inspiring to his team-mates.

Buttler has still to learn when to come up from his point to enable him to take the ball on the rise. To be fair it is not his fault but that of the England set up which has for years devalued the specialist keeper in the hope of finding yet another batsman who can keep.

Started with Bob Taylor being overlooked and has continued ever since. Stewart, Prior, Kieswetter and now Buttler have all been picked for their batting although Stewart did finally become a decent keeper.

Australia, Sri Lanka, India three teams that manage to pick their best keeper for their T20 team. Unfortunately it is engrained in the English set up that the keeper finds his batting under closer scrutiny than his keeping.

I am afraid that for Buttler to get the Test spot he will require more than a half season's development.
