Can remember when Justin rose turned pro after a good open. It seemed to go a bit tits up for him initially, but he's not doin bad now

How does anyone know how a player will get on when they turn pro? There are no certainties. (That was my original point. Never mind)

Don't worry about it. I agree with you and the Rose scenario shows being a good amateur is no guarantee. A lot have tried and after a foothold on tour have lost their card. It isn't an easy living
