Jealous or what.

Good for you I am itching to play a round it was before Christmas last time I was on a course. Been doing plenty of practice but it is still not like being out there. More snow yesterday  been raining today so that has melted away but now sodden everywhere again

Well Tommo as i havent got to play since the 28dec i was due to get out last weekend but the frost had other ideas.....This week im out at 10 on sat morning and 9.40 on sunday so fingers crossed ill get at least one good day out of the 2.

Jealous or what.

I thought it was going to be a thread with pics of all Tiger's women - in which case the answer I had prepared was YES! :(

After all the crap weather of late I got a round in today, 18 holes round Dunbar east links, all full greens in cool but glorious weather. Round in 78 with a penalty drop and 3 three putts. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Penalty shot, two 3 putts? Rubbish golf ;)

Aye, he's just out to protect that handicap for the start of the season ;)

Not a bad wee knock on a day like today. Bit breezy was it ?

Good score Tommo

Played 9 on tuesday - was going all the way round but the greens began to submerge. They were still very hard after frost and the rain had nowhere to go. So hitting into hard greens and then putting through puddles didn't really capture the imagination.

Funniest thing was that the temp greens submerged before the real ones....

Had a wee game at Royal Craigentinny today (don't try to look it up) and permafrost on the greens for the first 9 made it interesting. Not even the Ping Eye2 would've stopped it. We were rolling snowmen with our putts.

Not a bit of snow at Dunbar John, you could still feel the frost under the green when sorting pitch marks. Otherwise, it was in top nick.

Ach yeez'll all be burnt oot come April!

You'll all be picking up all sorts of jarring injuries trying to play off icy courses and pulling muscles and ligaments with bodies that can't function correctly in low winter temperatures. Patience is what you need, golf clubs shouldn't be brought out until March in this country.

A bit of rest over the winter from golf probably doesn't do any harm. I'm not envious of anyone getting to play in the UK this time of year, golf is not a winter sport imo.

Royal Craigentinny...... site of an anti aircraft battery during WWII ! Don't rake about in the rought too much, you never know what may be lurking under the surface !! ;)
