Very sad news regarding the death of the great James Gandolfini. Had some amazing years watching the Sopranos

I just watched an episode last night (seen the series about 6 times now) totally shocked, only 51 as well. RIP James.

I bought it a few years ago having missed it on TV and got hooked. Me and the mrs watched all 86 episodes in about 6 weeks.

Sopranos

Best tv series ever IMO. So sad to ear of the loss of James Gandolfini.
I didn't want to hijack the other thread,just wondered Who's your favourite Sopranos character (apart from T) & best Episode?
Uncle Junior & probably Pine Barrens for me.

Can't believe it - I've just started watching again from Episode 1. One of the best, if not the best, series to come out of the USA.
Steve Van Zandt always makes me laugh as Silvio and whenever I see Springsteen and the band just see him in character.

I thought it was a wind up when some one told me Silvio was Springsteens bass player.
Lady GaGa is in it for about 10secs aswell.

He's the guitarist and has been with Springsteen since Born to Run in the 70's.

Legend! One of the best TV series to hit these shores. I revisited the whole lot recently on Sky Atlantic and its even better the second time round.
