I would have to say Jack was/is the best golfer seen so far.
Poor equipment, harder courses and better players.
He could hit the ball 350yds with a block of wood on a stick while while hitting a poor ball compared to today's equipment.
The players where more consistent and a better standard, Look at last years stats woods won 7 times Phil won 2 (from memory) was tiger playing in the 2 Phil won?
The courses are much easier now, again look at the stats tiger was the 12th longest last year but his accuracy was round about 100 (cant remember exactly) and his greens on reg was not much better.
Tiger would compete well if he played in jack's era but he would not win as often but that would work both ways so Jack would not have won as often if Woods played at the same time as Jack.
