Was at the range tonight practicing the things I was taught on my lesson last night (I hit it really well, thanks for asking) and when I got to my car door, noticed that something was off.

The glove compartment was open and the things that were in the passenger footwell thrown on the seat.

Nothing was taken, but looks like whoever was in there was looking for sat navs. There was probably £90 worth of CD's, a £100 coat in the car, and a very shiny Titleist 913D3 in the boot, all still there.

Very lucky escape but nervous about going to the range again!

How did they get into your car?

I always lock my door … but … theres still a small chance I didn't? Not deliberately, but obviously not a motion you remember doing. There are no signs of forced entry so this looks the most likely scenario, but it's an old car with no immobiliser or alarm and so could have also had the passenger side locked picked? Although I wouldn't know where to start looking for signs of that.

Which range? Any CCTV

West London golf centre near the Polish War Memorial. There looks to be a CCTV camera very close to where I was parked and so have emailed the range with the details.

We had our car broke into last year. No damage to the car,but sat nav & other things taken. The mrs thinks she locked it,but not sure. Our car works with a key card, the police man says it's possible the thief had a dodgy card. Scum!

I had this before! I was broken into/left the door unlocked while playing rugby. I only noticed when i got in and my seat was all the way back!

Luckily i had absolutely nothing in the car, and all they did was throw my fuel receipts on the floor!

Same happened to me years ago , the only thing the B's left in my car was a CD of me and my band. How lucky were they or did they listen to it first, then leave it.:mad:sad 2

I heard that car-breaker-inners want the sat-nav (& if possible keys) so that they can tap in 'home' and they know there's a 50/50 chance your house is empty at that time

Read somewhere never to set the home location on a sat-nav (I used to set mine to an adjacent street with no house number)

Good news nothing was taken but people are missing the most important thing

What the heck is someone who was fully fitted at TM doing with a 913 in the boot!

I thought you were going to say that when you looked you found two CDs! ;)

The R1 has found a new home. Put simply, when I got fitted I was swinging like a loon and as such got an x-stiff extra heavy shaft. I then swapped that out for a Project X 6.0 which was far too whippy :( Long and short of it, I ballsed up my driver. Got offered a 913D3 for £100 brand new so had a hit and liked it a lot (ironically, x-stiff shaft ...) and so snapped it up.

Out of interest do you drive a BMW?

I definitely don't. I drive an OLD Peugeot 206 and the one golf club in the boot is certainly worth more than the car ...

Had my car broken into a couple of times at the same venue about 20yrs ago when it was known as Lime Trees GC...

Have heard the same from a couple of friends I spoke to from Ealing last night fella. Will be sure to be a bit more careful in future if I go back.

Really interesting to know - will let my missus know about that

Stoopid thieves

My Mrs had her car broken into and her handbag stolen. Handbag and contents found later scattered in a nearby field - cards, £20 cash and a couple of £10 gift vouchers gone.

The handbag was a Mulberry - worth £600 :)
