It sickens me that I was correct!

Utterly and totally offensive - what you going to do about it Mods.
You are the very worst type of hypocrite. As soon as someone disagrees with your beliefs then you become a pious sanctimonious crybaby.

It is very evident from your posts on many devisive topics that you simply will not tolerate an opposing viewpoints

What are they expected to do about someone who doesn't share your opinion ................ ban them?

TBF, if Cam had said I totally disagree with your beliefs and, at best, its a fairytale, I doubt Hogie would have complained. However, to use the language that was used could be deemed offensive, although not "utterly and totally offensive". Add to that, many have "liked" Cam's comments and Hogie now has a case under EU law, for the next xx months, for harassment and bullying associated with his religious beliefs. This is also covered in more detail in the 2010 Equalities Act.

I support Fragger's personal opinion but not his decision as a mod to do nothing.

Which God?
Whose God?
................... and if someone doesn't believe in God, what then, as your comment would be meaningless?

My God and our law - not difficult concepts to keep separate.

I was specifically asked for my opinion on this scandalous issue as a Christian - I cannot reply as a Christian without reference to my beliefs. So I am disappointed be hammered by replying in that context and I'd prefer that having answered honestly in the context of that faith that it is recognised and accepted as that rather than for it to be used as an excuse to attack religion in it's widest sense (rather than where it applies in respect of the issue and scandal being discussed) and to attack me as an individual.

And that the mods think it is just fine and dandy I find very disappointing. But there you go. I just turn the other cheek.

Thank you Brian.

Speaking with my mod hat on

If a poster has the right to promote his personal god theories then others also have the right to oppose them , it’s totally fair and not taking sides

As long as the Forum rules are followed and it doesn’t get out of hand it shouldn’t be a problem.

Totally agree with that, and have no problem with Cameron saying what he did right up until the "steaming turd" part. That's when it became offensive, and with the "likes" that followed, that's when in the eyes of the law it really crossed the line, and the forum isn't above the law.

I've ruminated on this most of the day before posting up, and looked at a lot of examples before being so pointed in my reply. Disagreeing is one thing, but using the language that was used, and the support it received, takes it to a different level.

I was educated in Ireland in the 70's, and dodged a bullet with the local priest by the smallest of hair's breadth. I have very strong views on the church and its behaviour then and since, and support many of the comments made in opposition to Hogie's views but Cam crossed the line, in my opinion.

Hear you Brian , we can go into the nitty gritty of what he did and didn’t say, and some will think he went too far, others will think he didn’t go far enough.

He made his point, the sweary word filter didn’t go to defcon 5 and the world turned.
God didn’t evaporate in a cloud of logic and Satan didn’t grab his (or her) chance to take over the world.

Breathe , chill, relax for tomorrow is another day 👍

You missed the bit about tomorrow is another "sunny day with temps predicted to be 20*C+" but I'll let you off that one... at least you don't get to see me in shorts every day!

I just wonder if posters would be so prolific in their religious condemnation if instead of Hougie it had been a Mohamid saying the same things. It would probably have been labled hate crime.
