Isn't it nice on the left side of the fairway!

After two years of work I have started hitting the ball right to left. Last weekend I played nine holes with Fundy and seemed to hit alot of draws but there was the odd fade in the to let me know that I can still be a little lazy. Steve described it as two swings fighting it out.

Today I played the in laws(I beat them @ there home, Batchworth Park) and hit 9 out of 10 draws even after the swing thoughts had gone.

I have to describe this as a MASIVE thrill!!! Seriously, I started to wonder if it would ever happen.

I do now however need to work out how far right to aim... I'm not far off as I hit most fairways and did not lose a ball but I was up the left all day.

For Christmas I got a draw shot!!! SWEET!!

I'm at the stage you were at last weekend. My irons have a nice draw, just need to sort out my woods.

It is such a nice feeling when you see that ball moving from right to left though.

What is this left side of the course you speak of????

It a wonderful mystical place that us crap players usually have our backs to...

Bob, ye I am brave enough and did so on some of the shorter shots. Question, can you fade without throwing your right shoulder? It's something I have stopped doing and seemed to be able to hit a soft fade by just trying to change the direction of my divert. I did not have a video but it felt cleaner than going over the top. Or was I?

Welcome along although I tend to see more of the left rough than the left fairway. Still a hook is just an enthusiastic draw. It'll be great once you have the confidence to move it both ways and you'll give yourself a lot more scoring opportunities. Well done

Fantastic. Fantastic timing too, just as you are bout to give up golf. Sort of.

I too have eliminated the right. Right woods, right rough, right of the fairway, right of the left rough, right of the left trees, etc.

I am now very consistently in the woods, on the left. Can't recommend it enough.

Murph, I'll still hit the range and play once or twice a month, I am too hooked not too, just won't have the honour of being a club member.

Scoccer... There are fairies!! Do you have an imoticon for that?

nice one, well done! I always thought it was just a myth that you could go from fade / "power" fade to draw - keep it up!!

I would guess it would be different for everyone but for me the fade was because of a fault. You would be shocked how many balls and time it has taken... Of course it's a work in progress but ye, it's possible if you want it enough! Gime more... The pain and heart ache only make me stronger Rawwwww...

i LOVE a draw, its turned into a massive duck hook recently but a soft draw is a thing of beauty, especially with a 9 iron

welcome to the draw club

I'm probably about half way down the process, I KNOW I can do it, but it only comes out to play when I least want it to!!! At least it will keep me entertained.

Thanks for the encouragement!
