Is Mourinho trying to be too clever?

I think Mourinho has really dropped a ball here by really making Man Utd a much better team.
That, coupled with the fact that amongst the 34 players Chelsea have out on loan, (that's right, 34 players out on loan), are Chelsea's best striker, (Lukaku), and their best goalkeeper, (Courtois).
He's too much "Oooohhh, look at me, I'm Jose Mourinho".

Slime.

34? Really? Well there's 24 on the club website, or 21 on transfermarket.com, care to name the missing 10 or 13 as the case may be?

I rmemeber posting ting about this at start of season and quoting your official site with the details, just had a look at it appears you've had a number of u21's return during January. With only Gael Kakuta still out on loan, so expect they made up the original 34. But according to your site I make it 25.

FFP was a joke mate. Never going to work or implemented properly. Look at PSG for example. Funny how the main people that complain are from the less wealthy smaller clubs:whistle:

Well a couple of clubs have already been banned from European Comp - will be interesting to see what happens when they have to deal with a big club.

PSG I think have got some sponsorship deal to balance out the spending

Exactly easy to target smaller teams but deal with one of the major ones and I think we will see a different outcome. PSG sponsorship is linked to the people that own the club I think so it is another way around the rules just like Man City did with renaming of the stadium. Always a way round everything

After city announced their deal, Uefa said they would investigate to make sure it was at market value. When PSG did the same, Platini was silent. Nothing will happen, as soon as a big team is threatend the g14 or whatever they have rebranded themselves as will threaten a European super league and Uefa will come crawling to the table tail between their legs.

They need to do something though - clubs can't be allowed to run on massive debt and lose money as much as they are currently

I don't know what can be done but something needs to happen. Clubs need to be self sufficent

A nice idea, but doubt very much it will happen. The banks make nice interest on the loans so they won't pull the plug. I'd imagine any restraints uefa tried to apply could be appealed in court for restraint Of trade.

Restraint of trade ? Not sure how making clubs be self sufficent would come under any restraint of trade ?

They do but what is the answer. Bring in wage caps? so then the clubs offer houses and silly bonuses and gifts. There is no easy answer, the obvious one is for clubs debt to start being called in by the banks and whoever it is owed to. Clubs seem to have a free reign when it comes to this. I would like to bet there are very few clubs that can cover their operating costs and in normal business that usually means they cease trading

Banks calling in debts is good but does that cover the multi billionare owned clubs who could just wipe out the debt ?

Chelsea for example lost £50mil last season under June - since then how much have they spent ? But it's not debt to a bank ? Same with City and Monaco and PSG

As much as I think something g needs to be done for clubs that run at a debt. The clubs you've mentioned only have debts to their owners. If they decide to leave they'd have to sell and someone else would take the club at scratch. No debts. As frustrating as it may be to some fans. I don't see the problems with rich owners. There have always been cases like this. I don't know too many fans of small or middle level clubs that particularly care. It's predominately the fans over bigger clubs that are envious that they're struggling to compete now.
