Harrington, misses a putt to about a foot.

Marks it.

Chucks ball to caddy to clean.

Gets it back.

Lines it up.

Knocks it in.

Jesus H Christ!! Just tap it in and get the feck out of there!!

It's just all part of the routine and to get the right mentality. At the end of the day a 1 footer and a 10 footer are of equal importance especially when there is that much money on the line!

You think that's annoying you want to see Johnathan Trotts pre-shot routine! :D

he does that to piss off the oppo.

When i played cricket i used to always scratch my guard betweek each delivery.

Used to make the oppo wild :D :D :D

The team I play for now our opener does that, I'm in at 3 so i bat with him a lot and believe me it's not the just the opposition it annoys :D

I do it to and its not to annoy oppositions its about me getting set in the right frame of mind. Its become a bit of a joke in our team as when I have batted there is a mark. I find that no matter whether ive just hit a 6 or played n missed one me going to do my mark again just resets the mind again. The pros did it to refocous themselves whether it be a putt or Trott in the cricket.

Back in the day when I played baseball over here, there was a guy who used to always step out of the batter's box to re-adjust his gloves ten times before each pitch.

Eventually I warned him if he did it again, he would be wearing a pitch. So he did it again and I nailed him in the ribs with an 80 mph fastball. The umpire just laughed at him and he didn't do it again.

If you'd done that to me i would have shuved the bat right up you A***

;)

There doesn't seem to be any menace behind being put on the clock either here or in the US and I've yet to read of anyone getting docked shots for persistant infringement. Until the tour are prepared to get tougher the problem will never go away. It's not like the pros are worried about people trying to play through or waiting behind a society in buggies chopping their waay round. The pace is pretty even throughout the field albeit slower than an asthmatic snail
