Yes....
Maybe you should give a reason Rick. Still playing devils advocate!!
Yes....
Just playing devils advocate here.
How much money do you contribute to the website?
If nothing your getting a free service where you can check your results? Can't you check your own club website for this?
Just food for fault, if your not paying for a service do you have the right to complain about it?
I'm a member of HDID and I pay the sum total of nothing to the site. So what right do I have to complain?
It's like people who complain about the governement in charge of the country and don't vote at an election?
Each and every member pays toward this 'service' through their subscriptions so they have every right to complain about it being utter keech.
Do they???
I was unaware that I contributed to HDID!!!!![]()
Simon, you are not a member of HDID....you registered to use it...that isn't being a member.I'm a member of HDID and I pay the sum total of nothing to the site. So what right do I have to complain?
My club doesn't use Club 2000 software aan doesn't useHDIDat all so none of my subs go towards HDID.
I'm sure your partial correct at your club. But what if they used a different software to Club 2000?
So what does an average club pay in annual licence fee for the Club2000 software ? £1k £5k ? anyone know ?
Given their supposed support it's not going to be buttons is it

Pretty sure from our AGM its in the region of £1k per annum.
...and how many clubs do they "service", loose expression.
For the basic Golf software Club2000 is about £500-£600 pa. Many clubs opt for the touchscreen and EPOS systems too (we didn't) which will undoubtedly take the costs up to around the £1000 quoted above.
We changed to HandicapMaster last year and are more than happy with it. The software is better designed, intuitive, easy to use and more than anything is robust and reliable. The cost is comparable for the first year but then drops to around half the costs of Club2000. The Master Scoreboard website is simpler than HDID but does all the main stuff like showing results, personal scoring history etc really well....oh, and it works, reliably, every time. I am sure that many clubs just pay the money in a "better the devil you know" kind of way as Club 2000 seem to have cornered the market 20 years ago and many will just stay as the change is potentially hard to manage. We haven't regretted it though and would never go back to what is basically an overpriced inferior product.
