So, just sold my r9tps, I posted after i got them that we didnt see eye to eye, I have perserveered but I never fully got it withthem, was hitting them good, but just didnt feel 100%!
So, I have to get some new irons quick smart, think I am going to look at the mizuno mp53, or should I go with the i15's? Nike split cavity with tw blades half and half is another poss option.

Any users care to pass judgement?

cheers

lol

Not sure about the ap2s mate, i have had the mp53 out on the course, really good flight and feel great. I also like the i15 but has only been range so far, same with the nike.
I might get a look at the ap2 though, so much to choose from!!

cheers

Get to as many pro shops (always good to try and give them the trade if the price is right) or range and hit as many as you can. Try not to have any pre-conceived ideas and try not to use a PC and a bay unless you have to. Much better to see the distance and flight for yourself

Yes they are os, Homer, I have tried loads of irons, and lots of shops, it is a tough old descision, cos i am going to stick with these ones for a good while.
Anyone used the callaway x22 tour?

james, if looking at the callaway look at the xforged replacement (its one of the razrs)

am a great believer that the shaft is as important if not moreso so make sure you get to work through a variety of shaft options with the heads you like

Try the Golden Bears or why not the latest Dunlops. You'll still have a few quid left over to take your tart for a Big Mac next weekend and you may get some higher scores too.

Agree with Homer (for once!)try everything you have mentioned and more, Ping S56 for instance. Its your money your spending so I'd make sure I tried all that I wanted.

Yes look at trackman results etc however remember the feel from the clubs and make notes of what you like.

Good luck, I would like to be in your position however it wouldn't take me long to order S56's.
