Ya they all describe themselves as links played greenore and galwaybay both by the sea not really parkland but not really links either

how can you say greencastle is not i links course
maybe you missed the beach and the light house on the back of the 10th green (i think)

There are several courses that have 2, 3 or 4 holes that sit beside a beach and are links holes, but what about the other holes. If there are 15 holes that aren't links, you can't really claim it's a links course. True?

Hi,
There isn't a sand dune in sight on the old course in st Andrews either it looks as flat as a pancake it all goes back to what exactly a links course is.

To me it is one built in the waste land between the railway and the beach. A few dunes does help though. And being built on sand (which Ardglass isn't).
