i thought the cradle was a bit pricey...... so i made my own....
cheap 50p snap on iphone case glued to a 75p rubber shaft clamp... did the trick, but sold my iphone a week later! d'oh...

Ping fan boy here so yep I jumped on the band wagon and gave it a go. It recommended me a Slight Arc putter, but what do you know, I use a Straight fit.
It's OK if you persevere with it I guess...

I tried one but didn't really find it gave me anything earth shattering. To be honest I'd rather be holing putts on the practice green

I have one and find it really useful. I am expecting not to even be able to see our practice green for the next few months under snow and water so it will be ideal for indoor use. I have actually just bought a new putter based on the fact that the app showed me that my consistency was waaay better with it over the old one I was using!
I also paid £6 for the cradle so It wasn't too expensive...

A local guy on E-Bay was looking £10 posted so I went to collect and agreed £6! Couldn't say no at that price as I already had an I-Phone and the App is free anyway!

As posted previously on this forum, I use the iping app and cradle and it has helped my putting immensley.

I made my own cradle as well using an old case and a rubber shaft clamp.
The app itself is excellent in my opinion. It taught me a lot about the attributes of my putting stroke and has helped me to make a more consistent stroke more consistently. Not sure whether or not it has or will contribute to fewer putts as the deteriorating weather means deteriorating greens and it's not a fair comparison to perfectly true summer greens.
I certainly feel more confident in my stroke though and am hovering around 0 to +0.5 average, which is a few shots better than when I first started using the app.

I didn't really tell me anything about my stroke I didn't know. I prefer to use my putting mirror, and some elevated string and just drill putt after putt
