Best one i have found on my iphone is the green button on the bottom left, click this and then a few more buttons and you can actually make a telephone call! proper old school i know, that is of course dependent on me having any battery left.

The new IOS software now precludes me from forwarding a text message- how on Earth can I forward the wonderful art pictures and videos of scintillating Sophie now?

Hold finger down on a message ... click more... forward (bottom right)

No problem.

Also they've finally added exact times for each message. Drag left on any message and it gives you time stamps for each one, used to only give a few between messages, annoyed the hell out of me.

Lots of people moaning about the update, but I'm enjoying it.

Edit: and for anyone who cares/understands Microsoft have finally released an RDP client for iOS and android that can handle gateway servers. No more iTap!

wheres the 'Thanks' button:thup:

any other 'clever' tricks that would take me years to discover?

This is both interesting and concerning  not new but nice that we get to see it too now!

Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Frequent Locations.

Also been playing around with the accessibility options

Settings > general > accessibility > speak selection

You can highlight text and it gives you the option to read it out. Can even change the voice/accent... The South African lady is quite amusing.

... Lastly .. When closing apps by swiping up.. You can close more than one at a time.. By using 2-3 fingers and swiping up you can close 3 at a time

Another really handy feature is the block (used to have an app for this but it's built in now)

Settings > phone > block

Goodbye pesky people

Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Frequent Locations.

I don't get any options from the Location Services Menu, just an on/off toggle. Is this restricted to 5 and above, as I have a 4S?

Cheers

Will the location one affect battery life?

It's enabled by default if your location services are turned on.
It may save a bit of battery turning it off, but probably not much if you are still using location services for other things.

Cheers:thup:
New update now available
