I recently updated my phone and started using the health app instead of my polar wrist band to monitor my activity.
I have noticed there is a distinct difference between both. My wife has been complaining about my weight, so I have taken to going for a walk. I realised I was only doing in the region of 4000 steps a day. So I have now increased my steps to 10000+ and cut back on some food stuff.
It was today that I noticed that my general 10000 step route was less according to the iPhone app. So I thought that's weird. However it did match the time I had been walking. I can only conclude that the iPhone app just is an activity monitor and calculates or guesses the number of steps you do in a minute.
Anyone else looked at it and thought that was not right?
