My missus has just got a new iphone 4s which I'm chuffed about because I can take it off her wen I'm golfing and mess about with gof apps. I was wanting to know which apps are worth downloading.

I thought about buying an iphone myself but my phone has polyphonic ring tones, what else do you need in a phone?

Cheers

It's a white one...why?

Then its suitable to have golf apps on it :-)
(black iphones should be returned to the store for replacement or donated to Ping users)

Get the Open championship app first since you need it for this weekend, also get the R&A rules app
Then do a search for 'golf' under Sport & Games categories & get the top rated free ones

You'll also find a free Golf GPS app that'll come in handy

There you have it end of argument :)

I was tempted to start and argument about arguments but decided against it. Anyway who tries to argue the point about using an iphone in competition is simply an idiot. The R&A is very clear about it's use.

Anyway.
The R&A rules app is great. There is also Golf Rule app which is simpler and deals with more common rules in an easy to understand way. Has a handy relief finder guide.

Euro and PGA tour apps are worth having.

A few free Golf Monthly ones.

Golfshot free is good for stats and the full version is excellent for practice rounds if a little pricey.

Golfmentor is decent when working out yardages for clubs.
