iphone app for golfers...AGAIN!

Hi all, yesterday I posted a message about 'Shot Difference Calculator' an app that works out how many shots you receive in a match. It's just a gadget, it's not intended (I believe) to replace your brain. Some heated discussions ensued. Where do you all stand on 'Golf Gadgets? Is there any need for electronic range finders? There's a 150yd markers and golfers have coped without for hundreds of years....it's JUST a gadget!!!! Is there a place for them?

Definitely not! I also abhore the use of metal or graphite shafts in clubs, anything other than duck feather tied together for balls and all clothing other than tweed plus-fours & flat caps. Also those new-fangled gadgets called 'Caddies' should be shot immediately as they undermine the skills of the player! (By the way, what is an 'iphone?)
