INTRODUCTION

Oh no, this guy bores on & on about long drive crap on the Golf Magic forum and is one of the reasons I stopped using it....fingers crossed he keeps it brief!

Well it's a big hello from me.... anyone who donates prizes is a star in my book.

I love that long drive stuff,... block paving, tarmac, gravel, it's all good :)

(the old ones are the best )

I've actually watched quite a lot of the longdrive stuff on the web so go on then,.... longest drive? with which club/shaft?

Just checked, I do not go on about ld! I checked my latest posts and none are about ld.

It is my thing, so if there is a thread on it / driving I am posting! You will notice this if you read my posts on Golf magic.

Probably should have avoided mistakes in my first post, never mind, done now, that said its a forum and the odd error isn't going to worry me.

The second hole at The Merchants, was great as a par 3!

I try not to inflict LD on those that don't want to hear about it, but happy to babble if prompted and driving has always been my favorite part of golf (I was once a 3 handicap)

HOW FAR? - conditions! So rather than tell you a distance I will give you a ball speed - 208mph is the most I have done on a FULLSWING simulator, If you can hit on one you will see if this is fast or slow compared to what you hit/expect. I hit pretty far but there are some true monsters around that knock it well past me - two guys who help on my site have put up 215mph plus on Trackman.

If you want to try LD just do it, my series has just begun and the first 3 guys to go were seniors, one didn't reach 190 yards, its a grassroots deal but you can go to the World Championships if you are good enough.

A sticky position for me, I don't like to post about distances and It is impossible for me not to advertise my series.

To answer on clubs that I hit, they are usually xxx UST ld SHAFTS (pearl colour) (100% LEGAL) with SMT DB PLUS heads, again legal.

I would prefer to post a big intro to the series with links and permission from Golf Monthly, as I REALLY DO TRY NOT TO POST ABOUT LD.

Over and out.

Anyone who doesnt want to hear about it, they dont have to read it, simple.

I am looking forward to reading about it as it something I have no prior knowledge about.

Welcome...

Kenny has donated 4 dozen golf balls as prizes for the Addington meet

I have no problem in donating them to someone else if I win them Smiffy.

Trust me, every post will have some form of link to his long drive sites or he will be peddling balls or swing tempo/ speed devices :(
