With IG. Can a tee slot of four be set up to give members the choice to play as a single only, or leave spaces free for others to join?

Where I play tee slots are worth £75 a piece, if you want to play on your own are you going to pay for all 4 slots?

Some players try to circumvent the system* but have been sent invoices for the slots they have booked for 'non members' and not paid

8 not going to say how but the management are aware.

We can book 2 ball slots, so effectively taking out a four ball for knockouts. If members aren't paying for the invoices what are the club doing.

We can also block knockout slots but cannot see why a club would actively allow singles
We have an issue at the moment with singles (members) booking an individual slot on a prime time on Saturday morning. While they are entitled to play when they want it a) people are put off with a name they don't recognise so don't fill the slot, b) causes carnage on the course as we have to let them through as they are clearly quicker than a 3/4 ball but they then end up carving a furrow through the entire field. It only takes one 4 ball to be looking for balls or being arseholes about letting a single through and the whole course then backs up. I wish the course marshall would look at the sheet when they come on duty on a Saturday and simply put all the 1/2/3 balls into a group (as they do especially abroad)

we can book 2 or 3 balls but must leave the other slot(s) empty.

If you are a 2 ball playing a match you are allowed to book out the other 2 slots using 'match' in the booking.

No idea what happens re invoices I am not involved.

We are allegedly going to IG at some point this year from V1 - not sure one is inherently better than the other is it

We used to use IG but moved to elite live which is rubbish

Can't even see visitor bookings which can lead them booking onto members tees without realising

I have no experience of V1 (we moved from Cobra) some of teh problems I have seen quoted I have not see on IG.
From a club point of view it does integrate all financial matters if the club so desires.

The only problem I have seen is that we have two courses - an 18 and a 9 and it wants the same booking times on both courses which are set at 9 minutes. We do not need 9 minutes on our 9 hole course as it starts with a fairly short par 3 and and even shorter par 3 if players intend to play 18 (2nd time around tee slot gets booked automatically). The other slight problem is the default is 18 holes so a booking slot gets booked out for the who do not bother to change the default, the allowable time for the first 9 is too long for lots of players so and they often start the back 9 ahead of their time so another slot is booked out but not used (1st tee and 10th tee starters have to alternate).

You can set up IG to stop people joining current bookings
Well my club allows singles to book the whole slot and the club will not put anyone else to play with them.

If it is possible, I want to put it to my club that they set the 4 slots up so that a single has the choice when booking to play as a single or allow the other 3 spaces to remain open for others to join him.

We use IG and you can book 1,2,3 or 4 people onto the slot. If you want to play on your own put your name in and press finish and the other 3 go to "anonymous" so no one else can book in. Otherwise the other 3 slots stay open for anyone to add their name.

Yes, thanks, sounds simple to me and just the answer I needed.

Ours is exactly the same which I don't agree with, when booking a tee time if defaults as a 4 ball and people just hit confirm taking up all 4 spaces. It should default as a single and you have to add other players.

If frustrates me as my club are always sending emails out to tell members not to add anonymous players and stating they will remove them but from what I can see very rarely do. We are over subscribed and at times it can be a struggle to find a space, I just don't understand why they don't change the default.
